How I Run My Social Network
Most people have a Facebook or Twitter account. Some use less popular social sites. I use all of them. I am on all main stream or lesser social media sites. I run them all though my smartphone and this blog is about a way to make it easier to do so.
The site is called Ifttt, or "if this then that" . It is a site that you log in and give permission to multiple sites and mobile based apps to function behind the scenes. It does this using what they call recipes and triggers. There are thousands of pre written recipes all ready made or you can chose to make one of your own.
From a list like shown in the following photo you search which network or device you which to run then specific taste that will will make your life easier even involving another source you have given permission too as a example here is a recipe I use on a walk every day. Whenever I make a Blog post on Google blogger site. It will access though my permission a recipe that triggers the blog to post it onto my Facebook page. All without touching a thing once set up. Think of ifttt as a routing program preforming duties at set times. Other examples could be using the GPS on my android phone. When ever I arrive at a marked location such as my job. It will create a google spreadsheet on Google Drive and log the time and date with how long I stayed there. Basically creating a homemade time card for my job to easily keep tract of my hours. There are many possibilities to do. Some options involve the use of turning your lights off when you leave you set home location if you have brought and installed a GE product that can control your lights in your house over the Web.
IFTTT now has three mobile apps for both android and iPhone. A location only based version. One that deals in remainders and the main one that works everything I to one. What ever you computer/ mobile life brings you IFTTT is here to help you make it simple.
